We get a lot of donation requests. During certain times of the school year we can easily get 10 donation requests a day from every PTA, every classroom, pre-school, parochial school and numerous sports teams of all ages. Social, health and medical causes are also making donation requests of community businesses.
It is not possible or realistic to say yes to every donation, nor is it easy for us to say no. For that reason, we have come up with our own unique donation plan.
Very simply, you encourage the attendees of your event or cause to shop in our store, and for a limited time we will donate a percentage of their purchases to your event or cause.
For pet, animal or wildlife causes we will donate 10%.
For all others we will donate 8%.
We will provide you with enough donation tickets to hand out to those you think may be interested – usually 1 per family attending your event. At the end of 30 days we will total the donation tickets with receipts and write you a check for your donation. See samples below to get an idea of how much you could raise. It is usually much more than a $40 gift basket.
50 Tickets X $40 purchase = $2,000.00 $2,000.00 X .08 = $160.00 Donation
50 Tickets X $75 Purchase = $3,750.00 $3,750.00 X .08 = $300.00 Donation
130 Tickets X $55 Purchase = $7,150.00 $7150.00 X .08 = $572.00 Donation
The key to the larger donations is to encourage people to buy more than just their usual bag of cat or dog food. A toy or an extra treat means a larger donation for YOU!
