I watched a dear friend struggle with the end of life issues that every pet owner eventually faces. But the more I saw Lidia agonize over the end of Ludwig’s life, I also saw pictures of all of her other pets crowded around her, offering comfort as only they can. Lidia is an American Sign Language Interpreter who is just quirky enough to name every one of her dogs a name beginning with the letter L.
