Safety and your pet’s comfort is our number one priority.  We’ve worked hard to implement and enforce clear safety policies.  We are an open door salon, which means you are welcome to tour our salon and we welcome any questions including those regarding our operations and procedures.

Your pet’s comfort, both physical and mental, is key to a successful grooming session.  If your pet perceives any part of the grooming process as stressful, our staff will work with him or her to make the situation less stressful.  This could mean using different types of equipment that may be more tolerable, using positive reinforcement techniques to “teach” your pet how to cooperate for a grooming, taking extra time to make the pet feel more confident and secure with the groomer and/or offering expedited services for pets that should not be confined to a kennel or are particularly stressed being at the salon.

Your professional groomer and/or bather will work to get to know your pet and follow the same routine each time your pet comes into our salon so that he or she will learn to know what to expect each time so a trip to the salon is not so intimidating or scary!

Jodi is our newest staff member and has really impressed us and her clients with her compassion and dedication to the pets she works with.  She loves animals of all kinds and is a pet parent to a dog, a cat, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish and reptiles!  Bring in your small animal for a nail trim to really make her day!

Mary - Groomer

Mary started at The Salon at The Feed Bag as a Groomer Assistant then was selected to participate in our unique groomer apprenticeship program.  Mary’s commitment to her goal of becoming a full time groomer really propelled her through the program and she is now a successful groomer.  It has always been a passion for Mary to work with animals and she is a pet parent to a Labrador Retriever, a Great Dane/Doberman mix, two cats and eight Bettas; she hopes to one day have a farm full of a variety of animals from chickens to horses.  When Mary isn’t enjoying her days at work, she is at home with her two toddler boys, Mason and Dalton.

Tiffany started her grooming career in New York almost 15 years ago.   She began her career working with dogs in 1993 as a professional dog trainer and was a registered evaluator with the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen program during the years she was conducting classes.  Because she was a trainer first, Tiffany is able to use her expertise in communicating with dogs to make their experience with her one that they will at least tolerate and maybe even enjoy!  Tiffany’s time away from the salon is spent volunteering at her son’s elementary school, cheering on the Packers and hiking with her dogs Ted, a Labrador Retriever, Genevieve, a Standard Poodle, and Jasmine, an Afghan Hound.

Services Offered

Full Service Bath, includes a bath with our all purpose shampoo, up to 15 minutes of brushing, clipping nails, cleaning ears and expressing anal glands.

Full Service Groom, includes a bath with our all purpose shampoo, up to 15 minutes of brushing, clipping nails, cleaning ears and removing ear hair, expressing anal glands and cut to client specification or breed standard.

Walk In Services, are available whenever the salon is open and an appointment is not necessary; come in when it’s convenient for you!  We offer nail trims (dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, etc.), nail grinds, ear cleaning, touch ups, brush outs, paw trimming and expressing anal glands.

Do It Yourself Dogwash - $18 No Appointment Needed, Dogwash is available during our regular retail hours, up to 1 hour before we close Includes the use of our comfortable waist-high bathtubs, (lifting assistance is available) conditioning shampoo, brushes/combs, towels and dryer.  For safety reasons, we’ll have you dry your dog right in the bathtub which has restraints to keep the dog in the tub and both of your hands free. The best part? You leave the mess for US to clean up!
